DON'T GET LEFT IN THE DARK!

Let AltRoch Solutions help you get your power restored fast. We utilize specialized equipment to locate underground electrical conductors and faulted service wires.

Why did my power go out?
The power grid is constantly breaking from animals, weather, trees, vehicles, and more.

When you find yourself with a faulted or damaged wire AltRoch is able to locate the path of your underground (UG) service wires to determine where the faulted section of cable is, and excavate an area to make the necessary repairs.

We understand it's never convenient to lose power and it usually happens at the worst possible times. That's why we pride ourselves on educating you about what happened, what your options are, and the solution.

Accidents happen

Sometimes accidents happen and an excavation company or a DIY'er will trench, dig up, or cut through your electric service wire. After calling the power company to de-energize the wires you can reach out to us to make any necessary repairs. We will uncover all the damaged wire, make sure there are no gouges or bare wire, and properly splice and seal your service to get your power turned back on.

If you find yourself in any one of these scenarios or are unsure of what you have going on please reach out so we can determine your best course of action or we can help you out.

calling 811 for a dig safe does not locate customer owned equipment

Take a look at your electrical meter. If your meter base is set up on a pole in your yard, you, as the homeowner, own the pole, anchor, service entrance cable, meter base, and any conductors going to your home, barn, building, etc.

The utility company is responsible for the service wires from the main line to the pole, connections at the attachment point at the top of the pole, and setting the meter. Everything else is owned and maintained by the customer.

Many people are unaware of this and are surprised to learn that any repairs beyond the connections are the customer's responsibility. If the pole were to fall over, the customer would need to set a new pole and transfer all equipment and conductors to the new pole before the utility would re-energize the meter.

If you have a similar setup and wish to have your pole and anchor inspected or have questions, feel free to give us a call.
